Veal Cannelloni
Cannelloni are a tubular pasta which are filled and then baked. In today's recipe I used veal as the base for the filling.
Ingredients:
680 g ground veal
1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 egg
1/4 cup Béchamel sauce
1/4 - 1/2 cup tomato sauce (see recipe in previous post)
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
1 package Unico oven ready cannelloni noodles
Method:
Add sauce to bottom of baking dish and set aside. Cook ground veal and set aside to cool. Once cooled combine with cheese, mozzarella, parsley, salt, pepper, egg, béchamel sauce and tomato sauce. Fill cannelloni with mixture and place in a single layer into baking dish. Cover with additional sauce and mozzarella. Bake covered at 350 for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
