Pasta e Fagioli (Pasta and Beans)


Pasta e fagioli is commonly made with cannellini beans, but other beans can be used as well. In Itlay this recipe varies from city to city, some are much like soup and others are served thicker, which is the type I prefer to make.



Ingredients:

1 can Unico Red Kidney Beans rinsed
1/2 - 1 can water
3 cloves garlic
1 celery stock chopped in four
2 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp Bertolli Olive oil
1 Knorr Homestyle Bouillon Stock - Beef

1 1/2 cups of Barilla Spaghettini broken into 1 inch pieces


Method:


Place all ingredients in pot and bring to a boil. Cover and cook on minimum heat for about 20 minutes. In the meantime cook spaghettini in salted water, drain and stir into bean mixture. Before plating remove garlic cloves and celery peices. Serve with a sprinkle of pepper.
