Turkey Egg Rolls
Ingredients:
300 g lean ground turkey
1/4 cup grated cabbage
1/4 cup diced green onion
1 1/2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 minced clove garlic
1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp flour
18 -20 egg roll wrappers
oil for frying
Method:
In a bowl mix ground turkey, cabbage, green onion, soya sauce, oil, cornstarch, garlic and ginger. In a separate bowl miix flour and water and set aside. Place egg roll wrapper diagonally on flat surface. Place a heaping teaspoon of the turkey mix close to the lower corner of the wrapper. Wet sides of wrapper with flour mixture and fold lower corner over meat mixture. Fold sides of wrapper in and roll the rest of the way forming a cylinder. Continue with remaining turkey mixture and wrappers. Heat oil in frying pan and place rolls in the pan cooking each side for a few minutes. Drain on paper towel and serve with favorite dipping sauce.
