Swirled Easter Eggs

Well Easter is coming quick, lot's to do and lot's to make. Today, for starters my children and I made our Swirled Easter Eggs. They are very easy to make and are a great centre piece for your easter table. Here is how they are made.

Ingredients:

10 white large eggs
Boiling water
1 cup white vinegar
Food colouring, preferably the 4 primary colours
Olive oil

Method:

In a large pot bring water, vinegar and eggs to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes. Remove eggs from water and set aside. Fill four coffee mugs with the water and vinegar mixture. Add food colouring to each cup, about 10 drops in each and drizzle a bit of olive oil in each cup. Let eggs sit in each of the colours for about 5 minutes. Remove and switch colours, this will allow the eggs to be swirled in different colours. Dry eggs with a paper towel and smooth over a bit of olive oil to give them a bit of shine.

Enjoy!
